「Puyo Puyo Tsuu」is obviously a play on the number 2 in English, but
 "tsuu"(通)also means "expert".
「Puyo Puyo Sun」is a play on san, the number 3. I feel like I should have
gotten this one immediately and I didn't.
「Puyo Puyo~n」is a play on yon, the number 4. I was confused about this
 one for years... (´Д`)

I'm a dumdum who didn't know these until stunningly recently.
I knew about 'Tsuu'─>'Two' and 'Tsuu'='Expert' due to being told years
ago, but I should have noticed the other two ★way★ earlier... (;´ω`)

Wow bro, that's literally on the Wikipedia article.

  which I've never read! (;゚∇゚)
