　　　They're reminiscent of MiniBBS (or rather, MiniBBS is reminiscent of 
　　　guestbooks) because they have similar origins and work in much the same 
　　　way - plus there was only so much you could do with CGI/Perl and HTML 
　　　in those days, so a lot of things ended up looking and behaving very
