On the brighter side, scripts were able to bypass captcha too,

No, they couldnt. Anyways, I warned you guys. Kaptcha could have prevented
this or at least slowed it down. This is what happened when anti-kuzism
takes forefront to logic

Nobody at any point suggested removing the captcha, nevermind removing 
it for the sake of anti-kuzism (;´Д`)

At most, users asked for the non-Heyuri branding to be removed, and as 
far as I'm aware kaguya just removed the whole thing one day for no 
particular reason
