I'm surprised most Heyurians seem to be under 25 though

If most users are not high school and college-aged like the old days, 
you end up with more of a virtual retirement home than a revival ヽ(´ー｀)ノ

Really though, it's cuz we've purposefully avoided promoting Heyuri in 
places where self-proclaimed "oldfags" (AKA internet users who found 
/b/ at age 14 in 2007-2012) might be hanging out, instead focusing on 
places with fresher meat ヽ(´ー｀)ノ
