> Can u pls post the script (;´Д`) It's not that simple... (;´Д`) This page has more details on the various Amezou-type BBS scripts "available" (at least as they stood in 2006/2007 - things haven't changed much since then from what I've seen), comparing their features and even stating the pros and cons of Amezou scripts compared to 2ch- type BBSes: https://web.archive.org/web/20180825041006/http://www.amebbs.com/doc/bbs.html By "available" I mean "you have to dig through many archives and ancient sites to individually obtain all the files required, and some- times it seems like they're not even possible to obtain (which is what I ran into with AmeBBS's own script)" (;´Д`) Anyway, as much as I've tried, I've yet to get a single Amezou-type script to work (;´Д`) So far I've tried: - Support script (by far the simplest, but also the oldest) - Donut Shoppe script (way more features than Support script, even has automated board creation) - Mikawa script (supposedly the most advanced and feature-complete of all, however they have long since ditched this Perl script for a closed-source PHP version. I blame kuz for this (;´Д`)) The thing about all of these scripts is that they were never really packaged up for distribution - you just download the live versions "as is". This means that all the settings and paths/addresses throughout the scripts are specific to the site you obtained them from, and some of those paths/addresses are liek, embedded in regex and stuff, which I'm too dumb to deal with (;´Д`) One error I keep running into is something related to referral, like it's checking where you're posting from with something, and deciding "you fail it!". None of the things I've tried so far to get around this seem to work (;´Д`) Another issue regarding the scripts which have automated board creation is that they just plain didn't want to create a board, and I don't know enough about how Amezou-type boards are supposed to be structured to do it manually. As far as I can tell all my permissions are correct, but it just doesn't want to play ball (;´Д`) I've been unable to determine if these problems are caused by something that's configured wrong in the script, some kind of incompatibility with my server setup, just ancient/poorly-written kusocode, or if I'm just plain doing it wrong (;´Д`) (;´Д`)(;´Д`)(;´Д`)(;´Д`)(;´Д`)(;´Д`)(;´Д`)(;´Д`)(;´Д`) Reference: 2021/10/28(Thu) 12:14:34
