◆ When replying to a story that's been posted across multiple bulletin
boards, make sure you only post to the necessary bulletin board.
Be especially careful when replying to template posts.
◆ Always re-read what you have written before posting.
Misspellings, omissions, and ambigious phrases are not only unsightly,
but may undermine the credibility of your post.
◆ Ayashii World is not the same as NetNews or email.
It's best to refrain from posting until you're aware of the differences.
There are thousands and thousands of people who will read what you post.
Please be aware of this, but don't be too afraid to use Ayashii World.
[TL Note: NetNews was a Japanese service in the 90s similar to Usenet.]
◆ You don't have to use your real name, but please leave an address in
the "Email:" field where people can be sure to reach you.
◆ A list of so-called machine dependent characters (characters that may
be used on Ayashii World)

[TL Note: The above link is dead and I can't find a working archive.]
◆ For more information about Ayashii World, please visit
・SwattyLinkWalk page

There's explainations for all the various Ayashii Worlds here, so you
can find the right bulletin board on which to post your message.

◆ Please read the Public Relations Office page before posting.
◆ The "Title:" should be something that shows what the post is about.
Something like "UZEE" will not suffice.
[TL Note: "UZEE" (pronounced oo-zehhh) was Ayashii World slang for
"うぜえ", meaning annoying, noisy, or irritating. It was used in a
similar vein to "REEEEE", and was mostly for comic effect (e.g.
"broken pen UZEE", "iMac UZEE", "long sentence UZEE").
It was also commonly written as "UZEEEEEEE" or "UZEEEEE..." (implying it
goes on infinitely), and another popular form was "UZEEマシンガン"
(UZEE machine gun).]
◆ Quotes should be kept to a minimum. The post display order varies
from place to place, so phrases like "↓" or "the guy below" won't
always make sense.
"Date:" indicates the time a post was made.
◆ Don't make the same posts (individually) to multiple bulletin boards.
◆ When posting, you don't have to greet anyone upon arrival or excuse
yourself upon leaving. Read the material that's already been posted,
and then post in a way that everyone can understand.
◆ There's a limit to the number of posts that can be submitted to a
given site.
Once that limit has been reached, old posts will be automatically
deleted.
Please do not resubmit your posts just because they have been deleted.
◆ If you have any questions about Ayashii World, please visit
あやしいわーるど@ふぁみーる (Ayashii World@Famille), a page for
first-timers (no abuse allowed).
◆ For the absolute beginner, there's also a dictionary of terminology.
